Below is a few photos of a Comma butterfly that was perched on the edge of our bird table in the garden. It took a while for it to open its wings and show its bright colours.
Its only when you are able to get up close to butterflies like this Comma, that you realise just how delicate they are. The wings look rather like they've been made out of paper and cut into shapes.
In the evening, a very bright pink sunset could be seen for a short time. It seems a while since we've seen something like this.
What a strange contrast these kinds of scenes will be to the snowy scenes much of the UK are expecting over the next few days.
My SLR camera is currently off for repairs and I won't see it for about 4 weeks I think, so I'll try to post what I can with my other camera in the meantime. Also, I'm back at uni now, so any photos I do take will likely be from the university campus. Anyway, I'll leave today's post at that I think.
